Dads Turning Into Kids (TIK) Multicultural Parenting Program

FOCUS Connect’s Dads Turning Into Kids (TIK) program is dedicated to strengthening the emotional bond between fathers and their children in the South West Sydney region. The program aims to enhance parent-child communication, support the development of emotional management skills in children, prevent behavioural issues, and more by improving fathers' or father figures’ emotional competence and skills.

About Dads Tuning Into Kids (TIK)

The Dads Turning Into Kids (TIK) program is designed to enhance fathers’ and father figures’ emotional coaching skills, empowering them to better understand and connect with their children. This program focuses on building emotional intelligence through effective "emotion coaching," helping dads manage emotions, address behavioural issues, and resolve conflicts constructively.

By participating in the TIK program, fathers will embark on a journey toward greater emotional awareness and acceptance, both for themselves and their children. This increased understanding enables them to guide their children in expressing their feelings clearly, fostering a supportive environment where emotions are recognised and respected.
